The True Reason Why There Is No 13th Floor in Most of the Building


Probably, you’re a bit confused everytime you step inside an elevator and not see a button for 13th floor. In most buildings, 13th floor is usually skip due to superstition.

We all normally believe that number 13 is an unlucky number. Sometimes, this number bring great catastrophes that’s why many try to avoid anything that has something to do with this number most especially if 13th day of the month falls on Friday.

In western countries, businessmen omit 13th floor in their establishments because they believe that it’s not good in business particularly in hotels and office spaces.

According to reports, hotel owners skipped 13th floor in their establishments to comply with their superstitious clients preference since most people are often bothered when they are given a room or assigned on the 13th floor.

In a study conducted in 1960s, hotel clients were interviewed about their views about the presence of 13th floors in some hotels. However, the result of the report was found inconclusive. Despite this, many still apply the belief that 13th floor should be avoided to prevent bad luck.

When it comes to the paranormal, in horror movies 13th floor is associated with the existence of ghost or the other world. That it is a portal to the next dimension where the dark world exists. And if the elevator opens on this floor, better expect that you won’t be able to come back again.
